To stop these disgraceful acts, Abu Nawas racked his brain to find the best idea to make people aware that justifying any means is strictly prohibited in Islam.

After a long thought, he finally found a brilliant idea that is the idea of a magic sandal.

By taking the makeshift equipment, Abu Nawas went to the market to roll out the mats selling sandals.

"Magic sandals ... magic sandals ....!" Cried Abu Nawas repeatedly offering his wares.
Soon there was a young man interested in Abu Nawas merchandise.
"Please sir, what are you looking for?" asked Abu Nawas.
"I want to find sandals that can change my poor life, the young man replied.
"What do you mean?" asked Abu Nawas again.
"I've been living a life of poverty and want to be rich, and I want to buy something that can give me good luck," the young man said.
Miracle Slippers Miracle

A moment later Abu Nawas showed one of his magical sandals.
He says that the magic sandal will make its users out of having no one to have. Interesting, the buyer eventually also bought the magic sandals at a fairly expensive price.

The young man immediately wore the magic sandal around the village in the hope that good luck on his side. But his hope never came. Never luck, the youth even mistaken thieves in the village. But luckily the citizens tk to judge it.

Feeling cheated, the boy returned to meet Abu Nawas to protest.

"Assalamu'alaikum ....," said the young man.
"Wa'alaikum salam ....," replied Abu Nawas.
"Uh ... it's you, sir, how are you?" asked Abu Nawas.

"It's bad news, I'm always miserable because I'm wearing these sandals when you used to say that these sandals can bring good luck, but where's the proof?" protested the young man.
"As I recall, I never said that way sir?" said Abu Nuwas.
"I'm just saying that if Master is the one who does not have, then by buying this sandal you will be the one who has the proof now that you already have this magic sandal," Abu Nawas said.
Penance
Upon hearing the explanation of Abu Nawas, the young man can only be silent because he realizes that he is wrong and misinterpreted.
"Then why do you say that this sandal is magical?" asked the buyer youth.
"Because this sandal is a magic brand, magic sandal," explains Abu Nawas.

Finally the young man just left without a word.
But Abu Nawas rebuked him,
"Wait, sir, I want to say something to Mr. Maybe it will be useful," said Abu Nawas.

"Do not believe in miraculous things because believing in something other than Allah (SWT) can make us shirk and will get distress in the world and in the hereafter." The proof, as you are natural, therefore immediately repent to Allah SWT, "said Abu Nawas.

Hearing the story of Abu Nawas, it seems the young man realized his mistake.
Apparently a lot of things that can lead to the act of wrath of Allah SWT. From then on he repented to Allah SWT.
